His most ambitious project was the "Atlas Novus," which grew to include several volumes covering land maps, maritime charts, and celestial observations. Janssonius’s work is celebrated for its technical precision, artistic ornamentation, and high production values, which helped establish Amsterdam as the premier global center for cartography in the 17th century.
