9270 Willem Goeree (1635–1711) – View of Tiber Island and the Ruins of the Senatorial Bridge – Engraving (c. 1725)

This engraving presents a detailed topographical view of Rome, with the main panel illustrating the Tiber Island (Insulae Tiberinae) and the remnants of the Pons Senatorius, or Ponte Rotto. He was a prolific writer on topics including art theory, painting, drawing, and architecture. As an engraver, he contributed illustrations and views to significant historical and antiquarian publications of his time.
