He was the son of Charles-Francois Delamarche, who founded one of the most significant French map publishing houses of the era. Felix continued his father's legacy by updating and expanding the firm's geographical works and atlases. His contributions helped maintain the Delamarche family's reputation for producing accessible and widely distributed cartographic materials.
