Friedrich Justin Bertuch was a prominent German publisher, writer, and entrepreneur during the Enlightenment. He founded the Landes-Industrie-Comptoir in Weimar, which became a leading publishing house for educational and scientific works. His most famous contribution, the Bilderbuch fur Kinder, consisted of twelve volumes published between 1790 and 1830, featuring hundreds of high-quality engravings.
