Karl Joseph Brodtmann was a Swiss artist, lithographer, and publisher celebrated for his prolific contributions to natural history during the 19th century. His most significant works include collaborations with zoologist Heinrich Rudolf Schinz on volumes covering mammals, reptiles, and birds, establishing Brodtmann as one of the most accomplished and influential zoological illustrators of his time.
