"The Raising of Lazarus" is an engraving depicting a biblical scene where a central figure in flowing robes gestures toward a man emerging from a tomb in a rocky landscape. The composition is populated by several onlookers in classical drapery, some expressing awe and others leaning in to witness the event, with architectural elements of a city visible in the upper left background. This plate is part of a series of New Testament illustrations documenting the life and miracles of Christ.

He was a central figure in the distribution of Netherlandish art across Europe, managing one of the most productive publishing houses of his time. His work is recognized for its technical precision and its role in translating the monumental designs of contemporary painters into widely accessible printed media.
