"Entwurff eines heutzutage zuerbauenden grossen Pracht Kegels". This architectural engraving presents a design for a grand monumental obelisk, referred to as a Pracht Kegel. The composition includes a frontal elevation on the left and a side profile on the right, both featuring a tapering shaft topped with a decorative orb and weather vane. The base of the structure is ornamented with standing figures and relief panels. A detailed ground plan is provided at the bottom of the plate, showing the geometric layout of the pedestal and surrounding steps. This work was published in the series titled Prodromus Architecturae Goldmannianae by the publisher Jeremias Wolff in Augsburg.

Leonhard Christoph Sturm was a German master builder and architectural theorist who specialized in the systematic dissemination of classical design principles. He held professorships in mathematics and architecture at several prestigious institutions and served as the director of buildings for the Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Sturm is best known for refining and publishing the architectural theories of Nicolaus Goldmann, making them accessible to a wide audience of builders across Europe. His extensive body of work bridged the gap between late Baroque complexity and the emerging clarity of the Neoclassical style.
