"Eine Ehrenpforte recht auf antique manier...". This architectural engraving presents a grand design for a triumphal arch (Ehrenpforte) intended for a populous fortified city. The elevation features a double-arched structure flanking a central niche containing a seated allegorical figure. The attic story is decorated with four standing statues and large panels inscribed with "Historia," flanking a central inscription block. The lower portion of the plate provides a detailed ground plan, showing the arrangement of the columns and the internal staircase.

This plate, designated as Tab. XIII, was engraved by Carl Remshart (1678–1735) and published in Augsburg by Jeremias Wolff. It belongs to Sturm's influential architectural publications, which blended the rigorous mathematical principles of Nicolaus Goldmann with the decorative splendor of the German Baroque. Sturm was a prolific theorist whose work provided standardized classical models for architects across Northern Europe.
