9984 Sebastiano Serlio (1475–1554) - Facade Design for a Renaissance Palace - Woodcut (16th Century)

The elevation shows classical features including columns on the ground floor, rusticated masonry, and stylized window and door treatments. The print originated from a major Renaissance treatise on architectural theory and practice.
Sebastiano Serlio was an Italian architect, treatise writer, and printmaker of the late Renaissance. He is best known for his influential work, The Five Books of Architecture, which systematized the classical orders and provided pattern books for architects and builders across Europe, spreading Renaissance design principles.
